About

"To be the best we can be and enjoy the fellowship of our teammates and supporters on and off the field"

Formed in 1931, Grange Hockey Club was found and then amalgamated with the Royal Park Hockey Club to form Grange Royals from 1989. GRHC has been providing generations of local residents the opportunity to participate in the game of hockey for 90+ years at the Grange Recreation Reserve. Our club now includes families and members from regions in Whyalla, Maitland, Port Pirie, Riverland and Mt Gambier, many of whom have chosen to continue a long family association with the club despite the distance.

We presently have over 230 registered playing members participating across 9 senior and 10 junior teams and more than 35 additional associate non-playing members. Of these members we have over 70 that are part of our Sea Eagles Supporters Club, a club established since 1989 that brings benefits and discounts for our members across the season.

GRHC actively promotes hockey through coaching clinics in local schools, the City of Charles Sturt School Holiday Sports program, and the Hook in2 Hockey national program. As a club we value family participation and provide opportunities for all genders, ages and abilities. GRHC has and continues to produce hockey players who have represented the state and nation, and Coaches and Administrators who are leaders in the sport in South Australia. We are a proud Star Clubs Level 2 and Play by the Rules Club.
